What are the Anne Frank Awards?
Anne Frank is representative of millions who suffered the horrific, depraved consequences of prejudice and genocide during the Nazi era.
The GREC Anne Frank Awards aims to promote equality, Children’s Rights and positive relations between all people.
All schools submitting an entry will be awarded a certificate of recognition, and all those who attend the ceremony will be sent a framed photo standing beside the bronze statue of Anne Frank. We feel this is an excellent way to highlight commitment to the principles of Equality, Diversity, and Huma Rights.
How to take part:
Entries to the scheme are invited from schools and youth groups throughout Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Please submit evidence of work or activities around the themes of Equality, Diversity and Human Rights in order to receive recognition and your GREC Anne Frank Award Certificate 2018.
There are many ways for schools to take part, some examples would be: Celebration of appropriate events and anniversaries; Artwork; Poems; Drama; Movies; Project/ Topic work; PowerPoint presentations; Comic strips; Songs; Short films. Schools may also look for inspiration from the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
All participating schools will be invited to present their work at the awards ceremony on 15 June – though attendance at the event is not a requirement.
