This twilight CLPL is for all teachers who have in interest in Children’s Rights, the UN Global Goals and STEM. It’s the latest collaboration between the Montgomery Development Education Centre and the STEM Ambassadors programme based at Aberdeen Science Centre. The event shall feature resource ideas and fun interactive practical activities with a STEM thread throughout. Our friends at Take One Action Film Festivals are hosting a free screening of short films for primary schools at Belmont Filmhouse as part of their programme this year.

Part of their special programme are short films from around the world, which spotlight issues of power, conflict, gender equlity, access to education, food and the environment.
With a strong focus on the rights of the child, the event incorporated fun, accessible opportunities for pupils to explore and discuss some of the key issues that affect them and the planet.

Run in partnership with Montgomery DEC (the education section of Aberdeen for a Fairer World), the SMP Schools Forum is a great chance to find out more about how to include Global Citizenship in your classroom or school. You’ll find out more about organisations in your area that offer support; work in groups to look at matters related to school partnerships; get practical advice on exploring Global Citizenship and free resources, all topped off with networking over Malawian drinks and snacks!
You don’t need to be a member of the Scotland Malawi Partnership or have a school partnership to attend, just an interest in finding out more about Global Citizenship, Learning for Sustainability and school partnerships.
