Professional Learning

Are you a teacher looking for active, participatory CPD to challenge you and make you think?

We offer free sessions on Global Citizenship themes, skills and values to engage with Learning for Sustainability and work with local authorities to ensure that these link to the Curriculum for Excellence and help meet Learning for Sustainability entitlements.

We offer twilight, whole and half day sessions and work as a small, flexible team to meet your needs – our current suite of CPD sessions is outlined in our MDEC CPD booklet 2019-20. Our sessions are provided free of charge and are focused on supporting you to link Global Learning to your classroom practice and across your school.

We can also support teachers working on Professional Recognition in Global Citizenship.

Please contact our Global Learning Adviser, Charlie Barrow for more information, by email: or telephone: 01224 620111

We have recently been appointed by the British Council to deliver professional learning and local advice for teachers and schools in the north-east of Scotland who are participating in the Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning (CCGL) programme, which is funded by the UK Department for International Development (DfID).
